ABOUT US

Here at The Witness Foundation, we are committed to a single goal; we strive to make you a better place. We have worked in criminal justice for more than twenty years. As a public nonprofit, the Witness Foundation and Dyvergence offer re-entry and educational based programs. Our program and services are offered nationwide, but we have operating offices in the Pierce County & Atlanta, Georgia areas, Davenport, Iowa, and most recently Carbondale/Chicago/Marion, Illinois area.

We take that approach to strengthen the relationships between children, adults, and families in community with charities, outreaches, re-entry programs and caregivers. This project offers connections to resources that are evidence-based services centered around education, guiding, or advocating any area of re-entry that meet the needs of our population.

For us, re-entry is broad, it's plural..not just singular. We view this as any process that a person takes in returning to that place, the organization, or the area of activity after a period of absence. That absence can be anything, mental, psychological, or physical. People have moments were they just want a sabbatical.

Dyvergence is a social service advocate that promotes opportunities for those in need all over the globe. With equal access to resources, people can grow up to become empowered individuals with the ability to chase their dreams, and use the tools they need to build the life they want. For over (20) years, We have worked in mentoring, social service, and correctional settings as a state or federal officers, case managers, social managers, Discipline Hearing Officers, and State/Municipal court Probation Officers providing Re-entry and crisis support management within communities. We have been fortunate to recognize the need for the development and leadership training of individuals in communities or in correctional institutions that are facing critical moments.

Helping The Community

Individuals are strengthened according to their own "Chi," or inner energy. I enjoyed the film "The Last Dragon" both as a child and as an adult. This character in the film was looking for "the master" who would complete them. They eventually came to understand that "the master" was always inside of them and that they had a "Glow."

We won't be together forever, but if someone discovers their inner strength, that power will always be there for them as a blessing. They discover new educational paths.
